Guns & Hoses

Mickey with Rob Ralph at Guns & Hoses 2015

Guns & Hoses is a charity boxing match between local Police Officers and Firefighters. This is the best of the best! Come and watch the Tri-States Finest and Bravest square off in 13 exciting boxing matches. Each fight is 3 rounds. At the end of the night the team with the most victories takes home the traveling Guns & Hoses Championship Belt. Watch as these brave men and women, who risk their lives on the job every day, put it all on the line in the ring for charity. “Their pain is the children’s gain!”

A large portion of the event's proceeds will go towards raising awareness of Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS). PWS is a rare genetic disease that causes the afflicted person to have a constant feeling of hunger. No amount of food will ever satisfy that hunger, and there is no cure or medicine that offers any relief from this disease. A person with PWS would literally eat until they died if they were not supervised. People with PWS are developmentally delayed and suffer from a whole host of physical, mental and psychological problems. Mickey Phernetton (age 22), daughter of EPD Sgt. Patrick Phernetton and his wife Lisa, suffers from PWS.

The rest of the proceeds will be donated to various charities that involve local children and people with disabilities. 911 Gives Hope wishes to thank all of you for supporting your area Police Officers and Firefighters!
